Action: Write Real Clear politics

When Obama got a nice bounce from the Democratic convention, Real Clear Politics did not include both the Gallup tracking poll and the USA Today/Gallup poll in their poll average.  Why? Because the USA Today/Gallup poll included the very same poll data. They said that their policy was not to do so.

But now with the post-Republican convention bounce, they are using both.

Please write them (courteously) and ask them why they are employing a double standard:

That's interesting, PM, can you give us what Obama's numbers would have looked like if those polls would have been included?
Also, some people are notably suspicious about this ten point bounce and some likely voter/registered voter discrepancies, see this diary at DKos for what I'm referring to.

Real Clear is an openly avowed Republican supporting polling firm. The fact that they still give Obama an Electoral Vote win says something that even THEY cannot deny.

Re: Action: Write Real Clear politics (none / 0)

"^ USA Today/Gallup poll asked on Gallup daily tracking survey"

That is there for the Dem one, but not for this one.

You appear to be incorrect, so I'd advise deleting the diary unless you have some other proof.
